Hello and welcome to my blog!

I’m Kayla. I’m from the small beach town of Pawleys Island and am typically most content in the ocean, although I developed a fondness for the mountains after studying Genetics at Clemson University.

I am the oldest of four siblings - Noah, 24, Mckenna, 18,  and Ayden Jane, 11 (soon to be 12). Noah and I have always been tight and did most things together as kids. Mckenna jumped right in our mix. The three of us communicate largely in TV and movie quotes and when we are on a roll no one else understands us. Ayden Jane is hysterical and keeps us all on our toes and laughing. She has a lot to say at all times and has a wonderfully unique perspective on the world. Our wonderful parents are Gary and Janet and they put up with all our collective chaos.

I love missions and travel and have spent extended periods of time in La Ermita Honduras where I lots of friends who quickly became my Honduran family. I am passionate for orphan care, family reunification, and care for children and adults with special needs. I have been lucky enough to serve in all of those capacities while at my Honduran home. I am so excited to be going on the World Race to serve all around the world.

Thanks for visiting my blog and for your support and encouragement. And thank you for joining me on this adventure!
